Gibraltar Athletics International Half Marathon 2022

This race is sponsored by D&H Ceramics.

Race Information:

Race starts at 8:30am on Sunday 8th May 2022.

Congregation in Mid Town Park (Click here to see location on map).

Individual Registration Fee is ยฃ10 for the race.

Cash Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 Male & Female overall runners.

The prizes are ยฃ200, ยฃ100 and ยฃ50.

Additionally, a ยฃ50 prize is available for the first male runner under 1hr 10mins and female runner under 1hr 25mins.

Trophies will be awarded to first, second and third placed Male/Female runners in the following categories:

  • Senior 18 to 34
  • Masters A 35 to 44
  • Masters B 45 to 54
  • Masters C 55 to 59
  • Masters D 60+

Event T-shirts and a medal will be handed out to all finishers.

Presentation of Trophies and Cash Prizes will be held at 10:30am.

Race Route:

Start: Commences at Line Wall Road opposite City Hall

Loops 1 & 2: Down along Line Wall Road towards Trafalgar Interchange passing through Lovers Lane โ†’ Down Ragged Staff โ†’ Continue along Queensway Road โ†’ Waterport Road โ†’ Glacis Road โ†’ Winston Churchill Avenue towards Sundial Roundabout โ†’ Devil’s Tower Road โ†’ Sir Herbert Miles Road โ†’ Turn by turning point marked just before entering Dudley Ward Way Tunnel โ†’ Continue down along Sir Herbert Miles Road โ†’ Devil’s Tower Road towards Sundial Roundabout โ†’ Winston Churchill Avenue โ†’ Smith Dorrien Bridge โ†’ Line Wall Road

End: Down along Line Wall Road towards Trafalgar Interchange passing through Lovers Lane โ†’ Down Ragged Staff โ†’ Continue along Queensway Road towards finish line in Mid Town Park

The following must be adhered to:

  • Warm up is recommended to be done prior to arriving.
  • Athletes must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the race start time.
  • Bibs not to be returned back once used.
  • Toilet facilities may not be available on the day of the race.
  • Minimum age is 18 years.

Note: This is a โ€˜Road Raceโ€™ and as with all road races care must be taken with road traffic and pedestrians. Marshals will be placed at intervals across the route.

How to Register:

Race Registration:

No registration on the day. Registration is to be done prior to the event with a cut-off date of Thursday 5th May 2022. This must be done by completing the online registration form available on this page under “Race Registration”. Team captains are encouraged to submit (if possible) one registration form with full details of their team for the race rather than have all individuals register themselves.

Bib Collection/Cash Payment Information:

The Vice President Mr. Robert Matto and Council Member Mr. Roy Torres will be available on Friday 6th May 2022 in the GAAA office at 6pm situated in the Victoria Stadium for bib collection. The GAAA office is located behind the hockey pitch stands just beside the tennis courts where you need to go up some stairs before proceeding to the second door on your right (Click here to see location on map). Payments to be made to the GAAA Treasurer’s NatWest/Revolut Account (Mr. Jerai Torres on +35054013323) or alternatively in cash on the 6th May in the GAAA office at 6pm. In case for some reason you are unable to collect your bib or pay in cash at the GAAA office, arrangements can be made with Mr. Roy Torres on +35054029173 to collect/pay on the morning prior to the race.
